The radial ball bearings are most common and widely used across many industries for their versatility and durability. These bearings have one row of balls; also known as single row. It has two rings namely an outer and an inner ring, which is placed inside the outer ring. The inner ring is placed in such a way that it touches the outer ring at one point with the rings oriented in the same direction. A crescent-shaped open area is formed between the rings. With relation to the outer ring, the inner ring is snapped back to its original position. The retainer is fitted in place and the balls are evenly distributed in the raceway. The balls settle to the deepest point of the raceway when a radial load is applied to the bearing.

Lutco unground radial ball bearings are designed for applications where speeds and loads are moderate and where noise level requirements and running accuracy do not justify using more expensive precision ground bearings. Since the raceways are unground, maximum recommended speed is 1200 rpm.
Radial bearings consist of a full complement of precision steel balls, a machined inner race and a pair of cold formed outer races captured by a soft steel band. The soft steel band on the OD allows for the bearing to be pressed into a housing made without close housing tolerances.
